The Ceremony

The celebration began with a prelude that perfectly captured Maddison and Alex’s classic yet modern love story. Guests arrived at Poplar Creek’s picturesque outdoor ceremony space under the Poplar trees to the sounds of timeless tunes like “Love” by Nat King Cole and “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra, setting a warm and romantic tone.

At 4:00 pm, the ceremony officially began with a processional full of meaning and beauty:

• VIP Processional: “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Hailee Reinhart
• Bridesmaid Processional: “Yellow” by Noah Gunderson
• Bride’s Entrance: Maddison stunned in her gown as “At Last” by Etta James played, a moment that brought happy tears to many eyes.

After their heartfelt vows and the joyful announcement of their union, the couple walked back down the aisle as husband and wife to Natalie Cole’s upbeat “This Will Be.”

Cocktail Hour: Relaxed Elegance Indoors and Out

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, guests transitioned seamlessly into a laid-back cocktail hour, both indoors and outside. The playlist, carefully curated by Maddison featured an eclectic mix of songs that perfectly reflected their personalities.

Dinner: Family, Food, and Fun

At 6:00 pm, guests were invited to take their seats for a delightful buffet-style dinner. To keep the evening lighthearted and interactive, their DJ from Sound Sensations Entertainment, MC'd through dinner with table release trivia about Maddison and Alex and multiple choice questions about their relationship, which had everyone laughing and reminiscing. In a unique twist, the couple skipped traditional toasts in favor of more time spent enjoying the company of their loved ones. Dessert came in the form of delicious ice cream.

Dances That Touched the Heart

The dances of the evening were a true highlight, starting with Maddison and Alex’s first dance to “Won’t Let Go” by Black Stone Cherry. Their chemistry was undeniable as they swayed together under the warm glow of Poplar Creek’s lights bistro lights.

The father-daughter dance brought a sweet moment of nostalgia with Tom Petty’s “Alright For Now,” while the mother-son dance to “Simple Man” (the rock version by Shinedown).  With the formal dances complete, the dance floor opened up. The DJ kept the party alive, blending crowd favorites with Maddison and Alex’s personal picks, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.
